magnetic metre ruler

Magnetic metre ruler - is easily our best selling item and can be used on metal based blackboards, as well as, whiteboards. Again we have come up with a world first - the world's only magnetic metre ruler. Our research indicated that teachers were having problems in ruling straight lines on whiteboards or blackboards. This was due to the smooth surface of the boards causing the ruler to move. This problem was simply overcome by inserting magnets underneath the ruler. The ruler is made from extruded plastic (1000 x 60 x 10mm) with a long magnetic strip running down the back. This holds the ruler against the whiteboard firmly and stores it out of the reach of young children. Also the edges of the magnetic metre ruler are cambered, to prevent smudging of the pen line, when ruling a line on the whiteboard.

The magnetic metre ruler has also been designed as a teaching aid. We can supply the magnetic metre ruler in two different models to suit the measuring system of different countries.

Metric model: this magnetic metre ruler was designed to clearly show the connection between centimeters and millimeters. We have placed the corresponding cm and mm above each other so students can clearly see the two measurements are connected i.e. 5cm equals 50 mm. Imperial model: this magnetic metre ruler shows the connection between inches, feet and yards against the metric system. The Imperial measurement is on the top of the ruler and the equivalent metric measurement is below it. The magnetic metre ruler is a wonderful visual aid for the classroom. We are also receiving interest from 'non-educational' sources such as householders, workmen and handymen about our magnetic metre ruler
